Most digital card games are turn-based. TEPPEN is not: every battle unfolds in real time. The pace can feel overwhelming at first, but a few early matches are enough to learn all the mechanics. It may remind you of Clash Royale at a glance, yet it plays very differently.

You pick a hero and face an opposing hero. Each side has 3 lanes for placing cards. A card facing an enemy card attacks it and takes hits in return, while a card facing an empty lane strikes the enemy hero directly. Heroes start with 30 life, and you win when your opponent drops to zero.

Every card costs mana, which recharges slowly, so managing it well is essential. Each card also has its own attack and defense values, and picking cards that counter your opponent’s board is how matches are won.

Hero skills

Each hero has unique skills that charge as you play cards. They can deliver a heavy blow to the enemy hero, destroy an enemy card, heal one of your own, and more, so it pays to study heroes before choosing one. The Active Response system lets you react to your opponent’s moves by playing cards and skills in the moment.

Modes and content

The roster comes from Capcom series including Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil and Mega Man X, with characters such as Ryu, Chun-Li, Dante, Wesker, Mega Man X and Amaterasu. Each hero has a dedicated story told in a cinematic, comic-style format.
