Black Desert Online launched on PC through Steam in May 2017. Pearl Abyss then spent more than two years rebuilding it for smartphones, and the studio says the mobile graphics are almost identical to the original. The story unfolds in a fantasy world full of heroes and supernatural creatures. You begin by choosing a character from several combat classes, each with its own skills. Then comes one of the game’s highlights: a character editor that lets you shape hairstyle, brows, face and eyes, plus colors, outfits and accessories, all shown in a close-up view that reveals how detailed the visuals are.

Once you are done, you step into an open world to explore different lands and take on quests. Combat is action-based with full, responsive control. You can ride horses to travel quickly and gather resources to earn legendary weapons.

Modes and content

There is much more than fighting. A full life-skill system covers fishing, trading, cooking and gathering, and you can build and expand a personal camp with various facilities and raise wild animals.

For competitive players, large-scale PvE and PvP battles await, along with modes such as Arena, Siege and World Boss. You can upgrade gear, skills and companion pets, follow cinematic story quests, and join seasonal events with daily rewards.
