About Stay Alive and How It Plays

A pandemic virus has swept the planet, turning everyone it touches into a bloodthirsty zombie. Civilization is gone, and you are one of the few humans left. Your goal is simple and brutal: stay alive.

The premise is familiar, and the gameplay borrows heavily from well-known survival games. Still, Stay Alive feels polished and well built, and it tries to iron out some of the rough edges seen in older games of the genre.

The camera uses a top-down, third-person view, giving you a wide look at your surroundings while you explore, gather and fight.

Survival Systems and Content

Your days revolve around building a shelter, collecting natural resources, and crafting tools and weapons to defend yourself. You will also head out to explore unknown areas, searching for healthy survivors and valuable loot.

Keep a close eye on your character’s health, hunger and energy, since neglecting any of them can end your run. A day-night cycle raises the stakes, with greater dangers once darkness falls.

The building system lets you upgrade tools and structures over time, and scavenged resources feed into upgrading your gear and character. It all takes place in an open world packed with survival missions and varied challenges, rendered in detailed 3D with a dark, gloomy atmosphere.
