You play as a robotic mouse dropped into a maze that looks like a lab rat experiment. The ones running it, though, are not scientists but a gang of scheming cats who simply want to see you destroyed. Think of it as a modern, puzzle-flavored take on Tom and Jerry in 3D.

The goal is easy to grasp: move the mouse, collect pieces of cheese and stay away from traps. The game follows a classic platformer formula, but since you cannot control the mouse’s speed, it often feels like an endless runner with action elements mixed in.

Levels, traps and customization

MouseBot packs 88 varied platforming levels with difficulty that rises step by step. Early stages work mostly as a tutorial, and every new level introduces at least one new trap: axes, lasers, acid, giant saws, mines, rollers and huge crushing presses. The final addition, electricity, pushes the challenge to a new level.

Cheese is more than a score bonus. It is the in-game currency used to unlock skins and cosmetic items for your robot. Collect 100 pieces, for example, and you can unlock new colors or change the shape of the robot’s head.

Each level has plenty of checkpoints, so when you fail you restart from the last one instead of replaying the entire stage. To keep things balanced, you only have a limited number of lives, and running out means game over.
