A point-and-click puzzle game, Machinika Museum puts puzzles at the heart of its gameplay. Most of them offer a stimulating challenge without ever becoming boring or frustrating. You have three basic tools at your disposal to solve them: a 3D printer, a mini-camera, and a magnetic screwdriver. These tools are used in all the puzzles and offer interesting gameplay mechanics. But one of the game’s major strengths undoubtedly lies in its realistic art style, color combinations, and graphics. For a mobile game, Machinika Museum has done a remarkable job in these areas, and the developers deserve praise. The game’s world takes place in a museum, and the immersion is total. The realism is simply incredible. In addition, the sound effects are excellent and create a unique atmosphere. Ambient sounds, like those of tools and machines, blend perfectly into the setting. This game has no voice acting and consists solely of dialogue boxes. Of course, this is not a drawback. You play as a researcher working alone in a room, so it’s natural that there’s no need for dialogue. However, the developers could have added voice acting to make the game more engaging. The campaign lasts no more than two or three hours and is usually completed in an afternoon. Furthermore, the game offers no achievements or other notable features. Nevertheless, it delivers on its promises and will appeal to a wide range of tastes. It’s definitely worth a try.
