Identity V for Android

Looking for a multiplayer horror game that plays differently from the usual shooters? This Identity V APK download for Android gives you the latest official XAPK of NetEase Games’ asymmetrical survival hit. The studio behind LifeAfter, Cyber Hunter and Rules of Survival released it free to play with in-app purchases, and it has passed 10 million downloads on Google Play with a 4.0 out of 5 rating.

Identity V story and gameplay

The story opens with an anonymous letter sent to a detective, asking him to visit an abandoned manor and look into the kidnapping of a young girl. Having lived through something similar himself, he agrees. Once he arrives, though, he realises the case is not what it seemed: other people are trapped inside, and he soon becomes one more victim.

Matches use a 1v4 asymmetrical format split between two sides, the Survivors and the Hunters. As a survivor, you team up with three other players to find clues, solve puzzles and decode cipher machines until you open a way out. As a hunter, your job is to track the survivors down and stop them before they escape.

Every match is played online in real time against real people, from a third-person view, and rewards stealth, smart chases and teamwork.

Characters, modes and content

The roster features 18 survivors and 11 hunters, each with a personal backstory and unique abilities that can be upgraded. Picking the right survivor lets you support your team where it counts, while every hunter brings its own look and powers to become the survivors’ worst nightmare.

During a match you pick up items and tools and can lean on each character’s special skills. Modes include Quick Match, Ranked and limited-time events, and a progression system unlocks new skins, items and characters, with plenty of customisation along the way.

The art direction is dark and gothic, inspired by Tim Burton’s style, with large, detailed 3D environments and tense music and sound effects. Fans of Dead by Daylight and other asymmetrical games will feel right at home.

Requirements and how to install the XAPK

Identity V needs Android 5.0 or later, and the download is about 1611 MB, so make sure you have enough free storage. The game requires a constant internet connection and cannot be played offline.

The file comes as an XAPK, which bundles the installer and game data together, so you will need an XAPK installer app. Download the file, open it with the installer, follow the prompts, then launch the game and sign in to start playing.
