Cinema 14 story and gameplay

You play as a young girl who suddenly wakes up alone in the middle of a huge cinema hall, just before a film begins. She has no idea how she got there, and the building looks like it has been abandoned for years.

Then she remembers something chilling: a strange curse said to haunt certain people in this place. The only way to break it is to sit and watch the film to the very end. She chooses the other path instead and goes looking for a way out.

Her search leads to an ordinary-looking room with a wooden door at the far end. A creepy doll appears in front of it, then vanishes. Is that door really the exit? That is for you to find out.

The game uses point-and-click controls: tap marked spots on screen to move between areas and interact with objects, and put dozens of different items to use as you solve puzzles. It mixes visual novel storytelling with escape room design, and adds quick-time events that demand fast reactions in dangerous moments.

Modes and 14 endings

Your decisions drive the story. At the very first door, for example, you can step through, or chain it shut to block out the terrifying sounds behind it and keep anyone else from getting in. Each choice can push the story down a completely different path.

There are 14 endings in total. Each tells part of the tale, and the full truth is hidden across all of them, which gives the game strong replay value.

Two modes are available: Story for the full narrative experience and Casual for a more relaxed run. Everything is single-player, with animated visuals that heighten the tension.
