About Braveland Heroes and How It Plays

Braveland Heroes is the second entry in the Braveland series from the Russian studio Tortuga Team. It follows the same art style and design as the original so closely that it feels like a major expansion, yet it is fully standalone and does not require the first game. It is also available on PC through Steam.

The story is set in a fantasy world of seven neighboring kingdoms ruled by a single king. Their most precious treasure, the royal scepter, is stolen from the king’s chamber one day. The king summons the finest heroes of the land and promises a valuable reward to whoever brings it back.

You command a group of these heroes on a dangerous journey across many lands. You start with a small squad and recruit allies along the way until you have a powerful army of knights, archers, monks, mages, monsters, werewolves and more, each with its own abilities.

Battles take place on a chessboard-like grid. You make one move per turn, then the enemy responds. Like an RPG, you level up and improve your units; like a strategy game, you manage them carefully and strike with the right piece at the right moment.

Modes and Content

The game is split into two main parts:

• PvE: a stage-based story adventure with varied missions that works offline.
• PvP: online competitive matches against other players.

You begin by choosing one of three heroes with very different fighting styles, and each hero has exclusive spells with real tactical impact. You can craft and upgrade combat gear using resources and valuable parts, explore random dungeons full of unpredictable fights and special rewards, and take on powerful bosses as you push through different fantasy regions. It is all presented in hand-drawn 2D graphics with a classic look.
